About the role
Northamptonshire Children's Trust Safeguarding & Quality Assurance Service (SQAS) is looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated team player to join the service. If you are flexible, dynamic, solution-focused and good communicator, with experience in business support for frontline and operational services this could be a great opportunity.
You will support our Safeguarding & Quality Assurance Service, including Child Protection Chairs, Independent Reviewing Officers and Designated Officers who are based across the County.
What will you be doing?
Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Safeguarding and Welfare: Take responsibility for promoting and safeguarding the welfare of children and young people in the care of the service.
Convening: The role will require you to convene, all aspects of Child Protection Conferences. This includes preparing and distributing invitation letters, booking meeting venues, and collating reports. Strong organisational skills, adaptability, and the ability to prioritize and work independently to meet strict statutory deadlines are essential.
Communication: Acknowledge and respond to queries received through various contact points, accurately logging information, and alerting relevant staff and managers as needed.
Record Keeping: Ensure that all electronic records are accurate and up to date in relation to Child Protection Conferences.
Team Support: Support the team and the wider Business Support Service to ensure continuity of service delivery. Work flexibly to meet competing needs and demands.
Proactive Support: Provide proactive support to Child Protection Chairs.
Liaison: Collaborate with Social Worker teams, external agencies, and representatives regarding clerical and administrative procedures for the service.
Undertake additional tasks as appropriate to the role to meet business needs.

About you
You have good organisational skills and can prioritise and work independently to strict deadlines.
You possess excellent verbal and written communication skills, with fluency in written English. You have emotional resilience, be able to process information of a sensitive nature.
You find it easy to relate to a wide variety of people in a warm, calm, and professional manner.
You are adaptable, enjoy and have experience, of working within a fast changing, dynamic environment.
