About the role
We have an exciting opportunity for a Child Protection Meeting Administrator to join our Safeguarding and Quality Assurance Team. This role is crucial in providing first-class, confidential, and proactive support to Senior Managers and the wider team, ensuring that our service operates efficiently and effectively to improve the experience and outcomes for our children and young people.
We are seeking a proactive, enthusiastic, and highly organised individual with experience in minute-taking. The successful candidate will be able to establish and maintain strong professional relationships with internal colleagues at all levels, as well as with external partners.
The ideal candidate will be a quick thinker, a collaborative team member, and adaptable to changing priorities on a daily basis. They must work with the utmost discretion and be a confident communicator. This is a fast-paced, demanding, and varied role, but also extremely rewarding.
The base location for this role can be Angel Square in Northampton or at our William Knibb centre in Kettering.

What will you be doing?
Key responsibilities includes promoting and safeguarding the welfare of children and young people, with regular Child Protection training. The role involves attending locations across Northamptonshire to take minutes of statutory Child Protection Conferences, requiring strong organisational skills and the ability to work independently to tight deadlines.
You will manage and coordinate meetings, respond to queries, maintain accurate electronic records, and provide proactive support to Child Protection Chairs. Collaboration with Social Work teams, external agencies, and colleagues is essential to ensure smooth service delivery and continuity of support for Children's Services.

About you
We are looking for a highly organised and self-motivated individual who can effectively prioritise tasks and work independently to meet strict deadlines.
The ideal candidate will have excellent verbal and written communication skills, with fluency in written English, and demonstrate emotional resilience when handling sensitive information. You will be able to engage with a diverse range of people in a warm, calm, and professional manner, and thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment that requires adaptability.
A full UK driving license and access to your own transport is essential, with business mileage reimbursed.
