Small area | Various shifts/working patterns | Long stable contracts | Exclusive loyalty bonus |
Full benefits of the role :

  • Stable LA \xe2\x80\x93 all perm management
  • 6-month minimum contract (long-term employment)

Lack of stability, no enjoyable work-life balance, and visits spread far and wide ( Worse case out of county)\xe2\x80\xa6.

These are the ingredients for a burnt-out and exhausted social worker.

You have probably had or are currently experiencing at least one of the above. If so it may be time to look at options, which you now have as you can work with a stable Local authority situated in the Valleys area of South Wales. You will work as a social worker for the CP team for the next 6 months.

If you are tired of short-term contracts affecting your relationships with managers or service users, then with Leaders in Care you will work a minimum of 6 months in a stable contract with this council. You\xe2\x80\x99ll soak up as much experience and knowledge as possible other than your employment and build strong relationships with staff and managers that can last over your career.

There is nothing worse than when you have placements spread not only across the county but the country as well. Thankfully, the council covers a small catchment area with great links to transport services, which means less travel, which means less wear and tear on your car, which means a happier social worker.

Like most agency staff you wanted to gain more flexibility or to be realistic, you wanted a personal life away from work to be with friends and family. The council understand this and provides social workers with plenty of flexibility and hybrid working options to achieve an ideal work-life balance. To discuss flexibility, send your CV to the below and speak to our consultant.

As this is a statutory role, a social work qualification and registration to either Social Care Wales (SWC) or Social Work England (SWE) is required to be considered.
