Child Support Worker - Slough
We have a fantastic opportunity to join a SEND school in the heart of Slough as a Child Support Worker for an immediate start. This will be a full time role from Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 4pm. The school caters exclusively to SEND pupils aged between 4 to 19 years of age. This school has great pride in their inclusive, multi-sensory and motivating approach to teaching.
The Role:
Responsibility for Speech, Language and Communication needs as well as Occupational Therapy needs
As a Child Support Worker, you will follow, contribute and evaluate Risk Assessments for each individual child continuously
As a Child Support Worker, you will organise staff resources to ensure playtimes, downtimes, emergencies and absence cover are staffed.
As a Child Support Worker, you will Implement specialist individual programmes and strategies informed by external professionals (e.g. SALT, OT)
As a Child Support worker, you will organise and prepare resources for each lesson they teach.
Requirements:
Previous experience as a Child Support Worker in a SEND setting in the UK is essential
Previous experience in childcare within the UK is essential
Enhanced DBS (child & adult) is essential but we can help you process one if you do not have one currently
Excellent communication skills to engage with pupils effectively is vital as a Specialist Support Worker
