Be the Difference. Be Their Voice. At Karoo Group, we believe that every young person deserves more than care--they deserve connection, understanding, and a future filled with possibility. We're offering a meaningful opportunity for a dedicated Support Worker to join our new solo provision, set in the calm and restorative Cambridgeshire countryside. This is more than a role. It's a chance to be a steady, trusted presence in the lives of young people who've experienced significant challenges. If you're ready to bring compassion, consistency, and courage to the forefront of your work, we want to hear from you.
What You'll Be Doing Champion young lives:
Act as a corporate parent, prioritising safety, wellbeing, and the rights of every child in your care.
Build lasting trust: Use Trauma-Informed practice to form meaningful, respectful relationships that foster healing and hope.
Ensure safety and security: Be vigilant and responsive, creating a space where young people can feel safe and start to thrive.
Support with empathy: Apply Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) techniques to encourage stability, resilience, and growth.
Walk alongside them: Be a consistent presence--from moments of crisis to everyday joys, you'll be someone they can rely on.
Be their voice: Advocate powerfully and persistently, ensuring every young person is heard, valued, and included.
Work as one team: Collaborate closely with the Residential Home Manager to uphold excellence and exceed regulatory standards.
Make life meaningful: Join in activities, accompany young people to appointments, and help them build healthy, fulfilling routines.
Navigate complexity with care: Support individuals through behavioural challenges with patience, structure, and a commitment to their growth.
Care for the whole person: Attend to each child's emotional, physical, psychological, and social needs with unwavering dedication.
