Shoots Training are currently recruiting for a passionate, reliable and enthusiastic individual to join Sherborne House as a Level 2 Childcare Apprentice as a Nursery Practitioner.
Welcome to Sherborne House School's Nursery where children aged six months to four years have the best possible introduction to education through a nurturing, stimulating and playful environment, fostering independence and creativity in every child.
Our Nursery is divided into three different rooms, allowing children to thrive in small groups and receive individual attention.

Your duties and responsibilities will include;
Responsible for providing high-quality care and early education to children from birth to 5 years old. The role involves supporting children's learning and development through play, activities, and a structured curriculum, while ensuring a safe, secure, and stimulating environment.
Plan and deliver age-appropriate activities in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.
Learn about observing, assessing, and recording each child's progress and development
Provide a nurturing and stimulating environment that promotes learning through play
Ensure the safety and well-being of all children at all times
Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards within the nursery
Follow safeguarding procedures and report any concerns to the designated safeguarding lead
Work collaboratively with colleagues to support the smooth running of the nursery
Communicate effectively with parents and carers, providing updates on their child's development and well-being
Attend staff meetings, training sessions, and other development opportunities
:
Learn about keeping accurate records of children's development and progress.
Support with administrative tasks, such as accident forms, attendance records, and planning documentation.
Requirements;
You must be able to gain a clear DBS
GCSE or equivalent desirable or be able to work towards these
Hours;
Sherbourne House is open between the hours of 07.30 -18:30 Monday - Friday
The successful candidate will be required to work 40 hours per week with shift patterns to be discussed
