Shoots Training are looking for an enthusiastic, reliable and hardworking individual to complete their Level 2 Childcare Apprenticeship at Brambles Outdoor Group- Cholderton.
Brambles Cholderton is set in the Wiltshire countryside and our unique setting is situated right next the popular Cholderton Rare Breeds Farm. At Cholderton Brambles we take inspiration from Forest School ethos where we passionately believe children learn and thrive from being surrounded by nature's abundance.
We are open all year round from 8am to 4pm with two sessions.
We welcome children from 1-5 years old. We have two beautiful gardens where the children can play outdoors
Healthy morning snacks are prepared on the fire, children take part in preparation, and we cook vegetables from our own vegetable garden which the children have grown.
Our unique setting has a wildlife pond, and we are surrounded by large trees. We have a yurt with a log burner in each garden as well a play barn, a mud kitchen, construction area and much more!
We have a fabulous team of 5 qualified members as well as 4 apprentices.
Our setting is less than 10 minutes from the villages of Amesbury, Tidworth, and Bulford
We are open all year round, except two weeks over Christmas
Your duties and responsibilities will include;
To support the key members of the team and assist with planning and implementing activities and help set up the daily program
General housekeeping duties, tidy away at end of session, build relationships with parents and carers, nappy changing, toileting, preparing food, ability to get wet and muddy, outdoors person at all weather
This job description is not an exhaustive list of duties, and the post holder will be required to undertake any other reasonable duties discussed and directed by the Manager or Owners
To have a flexible approach to the role so that all tasks which are not in your job description are undertaken by you or your colleagues without prompting from higher management
To maintain an excellent working relationship with all colleagues
To support the setting to achieve and maintain a minimum good Ofsted rating at the next inspection
Requirements;
Preferably have GCSE grades A-C or 4-9 in Maths and English, or equivalent or willing to work towards them
Hours;
The setting is open from 8:00am - 4:00pm Monday to Friday
The successful candidate will be required to work 37.5 hours per week
