Childcare Apprenticeship - Level 3 - First Steps Pre-School - Term Time Only

ShootsTraining are currently looking for an enthusiastic, hardworking and reliable individual to complete their Level 3 Childcare Apprenticeship at First Steps Pre-School, Liss.


First Steps Pre-School are based in the Triangle Centre which was previously the village's primary school, where we have two large activity and learning rooms and a secure outside space for the children to enjoy.


All of our team members are passionate about ensuring our children get the best start to their life of learning.


We follow the Early Years Foundation Stage which sets standards for the learning, development and care of children from birth to 5 years old.


We are extremely passionate about supporting our children to achieve their full potential and aim to give every child the opportunity to gain knowledge and confidence to thrive in school and beyond.

Your duties as an apprentice will include:

Assist in creating a safe nurturing environment for children. Support the planning, implementation and evaluation of the EYFS curriculum, ensuring activities are developmentally appropriate and inclusive. Foster positive relationships with parents and guardians and sharing information about children's development and well-being. Observe and assess children's development, documenting observations and contributing to individual learning plans. Support children's personal care needs. Contribute to maintaining a clean and welcoming pre-school. Collaborate nursery team to plan and deliver engaging learning activities both indoors and outdoors. Attending staff meetings

Hours;

First Steps Pre-School is open from 08.00am until 17:00pm, Monday to Friday The successful candidate will be required to work 20-40 hours per week, with shift patterns to be discussed

Requirements;

You ideally will have GCSE Grades A-C/4-9 in English Language and maths, or equivalent
Level 2 Childcare Qualification is desired or experience in a nursery setting
