We are looking for a passionate and dedicated Childminder's Assistant to join our team on a self-employed basis. In this role, you will assist the lead childminder in providing high-quality care and support for young children. You'll help plan and facilitate activities, ensure the children's well-being, and accompany them on exciting daily trips. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who loves working with children and is looking for a flexible, self-employed role.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist in the planning and preparation of age-appropriate activities that foster learning, creativity, and social development.
Help with the daily care of children, including feeding, nappy changes, and supporting their general well-being.
Supervise children during outdoor play, daily activities, and outings, ensuring their safety and enjoyment.
Drive the children to local destinations, including parks, museums, and other venues, using your own car.
Maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for the children.
Work closely with the childminder to monitor and support children's progress and developmental milestones.
Build positive relationships with children and their families through effective communication.
Ensure safeguarding protocols are followed and children's needs are consistently met.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
A genuine love for working with children and a commitment to their care and development.
Ability to work independently and manage your time efficiently as a self-employed professional.
Strong communication skills and the ability to engage effectively with children, parents, and the lead childminder.
A valid UK driving licence and access to a car for daily outings
Experience in childcare is preferred but not essential .
Basic first aid knowledge (training will be arranged).
Desirable:
Previous experience in a childcare setting.
Relevant childcare qualifications (e.g. NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Childcare or equivalent).
