We are?currently seeking applications?for?an?enthusiastic?and highly motivated individual?to fill the following post within our?Childcare Team:-?

CHILDCARE & EDUCATION PRACTITIONER

Full Time - 35.83 Hours/Week (Monday - Friday)

Salary up to 25,202.70/annum depending on qualification based on 35.83 hours per week

Or

Part Time - 28.67 Hours/Week (Monday - Thursday)

Salary up to 20,162.16/annum depending on qualification based on 28.67 hours per week

The successful applicant will work as part of a team delivering a high quality childcare and education service for children aged 4 months - 5 years in our Ferry Road Avenue nursery setting.?

Applicants must demonstrate they have knowledge of the Birth to Five document (Realising The Ambition:Being Me) (National Practice Guidance For Scotland) and Curriculum For Excellence.

Practitioners have a key role in the efficient and effective delivery of a setting and they must be able to promote the learning, development and all round well-being of children by identifying and meeting their care, support and learning needs, as well as being able to oversee the work of others and delegating tasks to maintain the running of the provision and well-being of the children as and when required.?

The individual will have experience of working in an early learning and childcare setting and will be able to work as part of an established team in the delivery of a high quality service.??

All applicants must hold a relevant childcare qualification, e.g. HNC in Childcare and Education; NNEB; SVQ Level 3 in Children's Care, Learning and Development, SVQ In Social Services (Children and Young People) SCQF Level 7 or equivalent.

Register at practitioner level with the Scottish Social Services Council. Become a member of the Protection of Vulnerable Groups Scheme. Work in the UK and have the relevant documents to prove this.
