The Role:



This dual-role is ideal for a confident and organised professional who is equally passionate about operational excellence and staff development. You will lead the day-to-day management of our childcare operations while also playing a key role in onboarding, training, and developing our team. You will work closely with the HR Coordinator and Quality & Assurance Manager to ensure our workforce is equipped, confident, and compliant, contributing to a positive culture and high standards across all sites. The ideal candidate will bring a passion for working with children, a commitment to creating safe and nurturing environments, and the operational and people development expertise to drive forward the continued success of Camp Glide.

About Us:



Camp Glide is an Ofsted registered wrap-around childcare provider operating breakfast clubs, after-school clubs, and holiday clubs across Surrey, Sussex and London.

Key Responsibilities:



Operations Management



Oversee daily running of clubs across multiple sites, ensuring consistent quality and safety. The planning of activities and effective resourcing. Support compliance with safeguarding, health & safety, and Ofsted standards. Manage budgets, monitor expenses, and ensure financial targets are met. The capacity and organisational abilities to plan ahead, anticipate potential difficulties and establish a course of action.

Learning & Development



Design, deliver and improve onboarding and induction programmes for new staff. Support the HR Coordinator in coordinating and delivering training. Identify skills gaps and work with leadership to plan internal development opportunities. Keep accurate training records and ensure all team members remain up to date with mandatory certifications.

Team Leadership & Engagement



Lead, support, and develop onsite Setting Managers and playworker teams, ensuring they are motivated, skilled, and supported. Conduct appraisals, probation reviews, and support improvement/development plans. Foster a culture of teamwork, inclusion, and positive behaviour. Management of staffing and assisting setting managers in planning and resourcing, providing essential cover when needed. Professional communication with parents and stakeholders.

About You:



Essential:



Proven experience in an operational leadership or childcare management role. Strong working knowledge of safeguarding, EYFS, health & safety regulations. Experience delivering training or supporting staff development. Excellent communication, leadership and organisational skills.

Desirable:



Relevant qualification in Childcare, L&D, HR or Management (e.g., Level 3 Diploma in Childcare, NVQ in Leadership).

Central Office (Reigate, Surrey) & Any site Camp Glide operates.
