Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Childcare Practitioner to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality care and support to children. This position requires effective communication abilities, with a solid background in early childhood education or childcare preferred but not essential. The Care Practitioner will be responsible for creating a nurturing environment that fosters the development and well-being of each child.

Responsibilities

Manage daily activities and routines within the setting, ensuring a safe and engaging environment for children. Communicate effectively with children, parents, and colleagues to build strong relationships and promote a collaborative atmosphere. Implement programmes that support childhood development, focusing on individual needs and interests. Lead by example, demonstrating best practices in childcare and early education to inspire both children and fellow staff members. Observe and assess children's progress, providing feedback to parents and adapting activities as necessary to support their growth. Maintain cleanliness and organisation within the setting, ensuring all equipment is safe and suitable for use. Drive initiatives that promote inclusivity and diversity within the setting.

Requirements

Experience working with children in a childcare setting is preferred. Knowledge of early childhood education principles and practices is desirable. Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written. A genuine passion for nurturing children's development through play-based learning. Willingness to drive initiatives that enhance the quality of care provided within the nursery. Relevant qualifications in childcare or early childhood education are desirable but not essential.
