Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Care Practitioner to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early childhood education and experience working with children in a nursery setting. This role requires excellent communication skills, leadership abilities, and the capacity to manage diverse childcare needs effectively. As a Care Practitioner, you will play a vital role in fostering a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for children.

Responsibilities

Provide high-quality care and support to children in a nursery setting. Develop and implement engaging educational activities that promote early childhood development. Communicate effectively with children, parents, and colleagues to ensure a collaborative approach to childcare. Manage daily routines, including meal times, play sessions, and nap times, ensuring each child's needs are met. Lead by example and mentor junior staff members in best practices for childcare. Maintain a clean, safe, and organised environment that adheres to health and safety regulations. Observe and assess children's progress, providing feedback to parents and adapting activities as necessary.

Experience

Proven experience working with children in a nursery or childcare setting is essential. A qualification in Early Childhood Education or related field is preferred. Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a team effectively. Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written. A genuine passion for working with children and fostering their development through play and education. Ability to drive may be advantageous for transporting children or attending off-site activities.
