Overview

We are seeking an enthusiastic and nurturing sessional lead worker to join our after school club team in Kessington Hall on Fridays from 3:15-4:45pm. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with children aged 5-7 and possess the skills necessary to create a safe, engaging, and educational space. This role involves providing a space for early craft exploration, and fostering the development of children's creativity. This weekly delivery block will be from Nov-Dec

Duties

Supervise, support and engage with children in a safe and stimulating environment. Provide age-appropriate craft activities. Maintain open communication with our wider team regarding the children's progress and any concerns. Ensure the cleanliness and safety of the studio area. Provide guidance to volunteers. Manage sessions, ensuring that all activities run smoothly. Support children in developing social skills through play and interaction.

Experience

Proven experience working with children in a childcare or nursery or third sec setting is essential. A background interest in arts and crafts is essential. This role will support children in moving up through our programmes to work with leading professional artists. A background in early childhood education is highly desirable. Experience on safeguarding and child protection training is essential. Strong organisation skills are essential. Excellent communication skills to interact with children, parents, and colleagues. Experience in childcare practices, including knowledge of child development milestones. An up to date PVG and First Aid Training is desirable.
