The ideal candidate

An exciting opportunity have arisen for the role of Childcare Practitioner.

The ideal candidate will have:

Experience as a Childcare Practitioner in a quality setting. Excellent relationship building skills. The ability, passion and education to ensure that every child reaches their full potential Great organisational and interpersonal skills.
Candidates would need to hold a minimum of a Level 3 in Childcare with Foundation Degree/BA Hons/EYT or EYP preferable. The role will be subject to an Enhanced DBS check and 2 suitable references.

The role will be worked over the full year (rather than being term-time only) and typically be based on 40 hrs per week.

Pay Rate - up to 26,100.00 per year - includes an element of performance related pay.

The role is permanent.

Summary

We are seeking a dedicated Care Practitioner to join our team at Shining Stars Day Nursery in Illingworth, Halifax. In this role, you will play a vital part in nurturing and supporting the development of young children, contributing to our mission of providing exceptional childcare.

Responsibilities

Provide high-quality care and education to children aged 0-5 years. Develop and implement engaging learning activities that promote child development. Maintain a safe and healthy environment for all children. Build strong relationships with children, parents, and staff. Observe and assess children's progress, keeping accurate records. Collaborate with team members to ensure the best outcomes for children. Participate in staff meetings and training sessions to enhance professional development.

Qualifications

Relevant qualifications in childcare or early childhood education (e.g., NVQ Level 2 or 3). Experience working with young children in a nursery setting. Strong understanding of child development principles. Excellent communication skills and ability to work as part of a team. Passionate about providing high-quality care and education.
