Childcare Practitioner
30 hours
12.21 per hour
Temporary post from 5th January 2026 until 17th July 2026
The role will include:
Promoting and safeguarding the welfare of children and young persons in accordance with the Childcare Act 2004.
Providing a stimulating, well-resourced and welcoming environment, both inside and outdoors, which supports children's all-round development and emotional well-being; and providing a range of experiences that develop children's independence and cooperation.
Having secure knowledge and understanding of how to promote the learning and development of young children and what they can achieve ensuring the quality of your teaching is consistently good
Establishing strong, positive relationships with all children and their families.
Adapting and working well with both staff and children in varied nursery environments and with a range of children from 0-5 years.
To be successful in this role you will:
Have experience working within an Early Years Setting.
Be able to work as part of a team.
Be able to work independently under the direction of a Room Leader and Management Team
Have knowledge and commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and vulnerable adults
Have Early Years qualification minimum Level 2 (CACHE, BTEC, NVQ or equivalent)
