Happy Feet Nursery & Out of School Club provide high quality childcare to 4-16 year olds within the local community. The ideal candidate will be joining a team who are dedicated to caring for children.

Job Summary

Larkhall

- Hours 20 hours per week. Split shift Monday-Friday 2pm-6pm

Flexible hours during school holidays

Main duties include:

- Planning and implementing learning experiences involving children

- Escorting children from school to the club safely

- Communicating effectively with children, parents staff and other professionals

- Be motivated, enthusiastic and be willing to work on own and as part of a team

- Providing snacks and refreshments and ensuring that hygiene, health and safety standards are met

- Monitoring and maintaining a healthy, safe and secure working environment for staff and children

- Have knowledge on Curriculum for Excellence and follow the club's policies and procedures

- Undertaking appropriate and relevant training

- Administration and record keeping, including child's records, planning and risk assessments

- Planning and organising trips and outings during holiday club.

Qualifications & Skills

Applicant must have

- SVQ 3/HNC or equivalent in Childcare (be willing to work towards)

- Out of school club experience

- Full diving licence with at least 2 years experience

-Be over 21 years old

As part of our vetting procedure the successful candidate will be required to register with SSSC. This post is subject to a PVG check.
