Crazy Capers is a private company running an out of school care in the Glenburn area of Paisley covering 3 primary schools. We currently have over 40 children on our books, and we offer before and after school care, along with fulltime holiday cover. We are currently looking for a permanent, part time childcare worker to join our team with the potential to do more hours and move to a management role depending on experience and qualifications

The main role of a childcare worker is to provide a safe, stimulating, and welcoming play environment for children in our care.

What does the role entail?

Collecting children from their school and bringing them to the service

Ensure a safe environment by ensuring all health and safety measures are adhered to

Plan and prepare daily snacks for the children

Plan and deliver a range of fun and exciting activities to meet the needs of a range of children

Effective evaluate the work with the children against GIRFEC guidelines and SHANARRI

Support children through our key worker system

Build relationships with children and parents

Complete daily and weekly paperwork

Actively contribute to the development of the service through weekly staff meetings and attend training when required

What type of person are we looking for?

Available Monday to Friday 8am to 9am and 2.30pm to 6.00pm term time and be flexible during school holidays

Ideally you will be a qualified childcare worker with at least an SVQ level 6 in Childcare or play work or an NC in Early education and childcare or equivalent and registered with the SSSC

You will have experience of working with children in a play setting and knowledge of play theories.

You will have knowledge of GERFEC and SHANARRI and how these can be implemented in a childcare setting

You will be responsible, reliable, flexible, and motivated to make sure all the children in our care have a great experience

Ability to work effectively on own initiative
