We are looking for a patient, reliable, and energetic individual to support the care of a lively, home-educated 5-year-old child. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with children and understands the importance of routine, gentle discipline, and active engagement.
Responsibilities:
Supervise and engage with a highly active 5-year-old in a home setting/outdoor
Help maintain a calm, structured routine throughout the day
Support learning through play, outdoor activities, and creative exploration
Set and reinforce clear, kind boundaries
Work alongside the parents in a respectful, team-based way
Availability Required:
Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays from 2:00 PM
Saturdays from 12pm
Sundays from 4pm
As much notice as possible will be given for shifts
What We're Looking For:
Applicants aged 16+ with some childcare experience (formal or informal)
A calm, patient approach and good communication skills
Ability to navigate the local bus and train system.
A genuine love for working with children
Ability to follow directions and use initiative
Reliability and punctuality are essential
Some light cooking/cleaning will be required
Desirable (but not required):
Experience with neurodivergent children (e.g. ADHD, autism)
Interest in alternative or home education

We are seeking a dedicated and nurturing Childcare Provider to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with children and a strong background in early childhood education. This role involves creating a safe, engaging, and stimulating environment for child, ensuring his well-being and development while fostering positive relationships with both him and his family.
Duties
Supervise and engage with child in various activities, ensuring his safety at all times.
Plan and implement age-appropriate educational activities that promote learning and development.
Communicate effectively with him, parents, and staff to build strong relationships and provide updates on children's progress.
Manage daily routines, including meal times, medicine times, and playtime, ensuring a structured environment.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the childcare area, including toys and educational materials.
Drive or transport (by accompanied Uber) child to various activities or appointments as required, ensuring their safety during transportation.
If you don't drive but are happy to use buses and trains/ubers etc that would be ok
Qualifications
/Experience
Proven experience in childcare or early childhood education is essential.
Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively while maintaining a calm demeanour.
A background in nursery settings is highly desirable.
A genuine love for working with children and a commitment to fostering their growth and development.
