About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated and highly conscientious childcare Solicitor to join our award winning in house Court team. You will provide high quality legal advice and representation on behalf of the Council in relation to childcare law matters, supporting children's services to safeguard and promote the welfare of children and young people of Warwickshire.
You must be a qualified Solicitor, or Barrister and be a team player with an excellent communication ethos, ability to confidently manage a demanding a case load of your own, work effectively as part of a team and individually and be a compassionate and persuasive advocate.

About the Team
At Warwickshire Legal Services, we run a very different kind of in-house legal team. We have the freedom to practice as a business within Warwickshire County Council, generating our own income from internal teams and a diverse pool of public sector clients.
We are an award-winning legal team with over 140 legal professionals. Due to internal promotions and increased demand for our services we are looking for a qualified lawyer to join us. Our team is currently made up from lawyers from the public sector, private sector and home-grown talent. Ideally we would prefer a Solicitor with experience in childcare however we would welcome applicants from a range of legal backgrounds including lawyers who are interested in a change of discipline and beginning a new career in local government.
We have pioneered a system of agile working which provides our lawyers with the opportunity to work within the office environment and remotely. We have a strong legal support system in place from our dedicated team of legal assistants and paralegals as well as our own in house IT specialist to make sure you are highly supported Our position is full time at 37 hours per week but we are also open to part-time working.
