Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Room Supervisor to oversee the well-being and development of children in our nursery setting. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a passion for early childhood education. This role requires effective communication with both staff and parents, ensuring that each child's needs are met in a nurturing environment. The Room Supervisor will play a pivotal role in managing daily operations, fostering a positive atmosphere, and promoting the overall growth of children under our care.

Responsibilities

Lead and manage staff in your room, providing guidance and support to staff members. Develop and implement educational programmes that cater to the individual needs of children. Communicate effectively with parents regarding their child's progress and any concerns. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations within the nursery environment. Oversee daily operations, with the deputy managers and nursery manager. Foster a safe, engaging, and inclusive atmosphere for all children. Monitor children's development and maintain accurate records of their progress. Organise activities that promote social, emotional, and physical development.

Requirements

Proven experience in childcare or early childhood education settings. Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage a team effectively. Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written. A genuine passion for working with children and supporting their development. Ability to drive to various locations as required by the role. Knowledge of nursery practices and regulations is advantageous. Experience working with children in various capacities is preferred. Minimum of a level 3 qualification in Childcare is needed to apply.

Pay: 13.00-13.50 per hour
