Working under the supervision of, and in partnership with the registered childminder to support them in providing high quality care to children age 1-5, providing appropriate learning experiences, and helping to ensure their safety and wellbeing.
Duties
Supervise and engage with children in various activities, ensuring their safety at all times.
Prepare snack while accommodating any dietary restrictions.
Changing nappy's and assisting older children with toileting.
Help plan exciting and educational activities.
Maintain a clean and organised environment, including tidying up after activities.
Communicate regularly with parents regarding the children's progress and any concerns that may arise.
Track children progress and development using tapestry online learning journal.
Undertake safeguard training and paediatric first aid course.
Skills
Proven experience in childcare is essential.
NVQ level 3 in childcare is desirable but not essential.
Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with children and parents alike.
Ability to educate through play and structured activities that promote learning.
A caring and patient attitude towards children of all ages.
Strong organisational skills to manage daily routines efficiently.
