MMR Childminding Agency is currently in the process of being established under its parent company, MMR Homecare Ltd . The agency will provide high-quality, flexible, and safe childcare delivered through a network of professionally supported childminders.

We are now recruiting an experienced Childminding Agency Manager who will play a critical role in setting up, running, and shaping MMR Childminding Agency. This role is essential for our Ofsted registration.
The Role
As the Childminding Agency Manager, you will lead the full operational setup and ongoing management of MMR Childminding Agency. Key responsibilities include:
1. Agency Establishment & Ofsted Registration :
Developing all operational systems for the new agency
Ensuring all policies, procedures, and documentation meet Ofsted CMA Regulations
Attending Ofsted interviews and inspections
Working closely with the Registered Provider/Responsible Individual
2. Safeguarding Leadership :
Acting as the Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL)
Ensuring safeguarding procedures are followed by all staff and childminders
Managing safeguarding concerns, allegations, and statutory notifications
Overseeing safer recruitment, DBS checks, and vetting
3. Recruitment, Assessment & Registration of Childminders :
Managing the full recruitment pipeline
Conducting home visits, suitability checks, interviews, and assessments
Ensuring applicants meet EYFS and childminding standards
Delivering induction training and onboarding
4. Quality Assurance & Monitoring :
Conducting quality assurance visits
Monitoring learning environments, safety, and child development records
Developing improvement plans and professional development actions
Ensuring high and consistent quality across the agency
5. Training & Professional Development :
Designing and delivering training, workshops, and CPD
Supporting childminders with practice improvement and compliance
Building a supportive professional community within the agency
6. Leadership & Operational Management :
Managing the day-to-day running of MMR Childminding Agency
Supervising staff as the agency grows
Maintaining updated policies and compliance documentation
Managing audits, monitoring systems, and regulatory requirements
7. Parent & Community Engagement:
Responding to parent enquiries and coordinating placements
Promoting the agency within the local community
Building partnerships with early years and local authority teams
Person Specification :
Essential
Level 3 Early Years/Childcare qualification or higher
Strong knowledge of the EYFS and early years legislation
Experience in early years, childcare, or as a childminder
DSL-level safeguarding knowledge
Experience with compliance, audits, or quality assurance
Strong leadership, organisation, and communication skills
Desirable
Level 5/6 in Early Years or Leadership
Experience as a Nursery Manager, Deputy Manager, or Early Years Lead
Experience with Ofsted inspections
Experience setting up or developing childcare services
Knowledge of childminding and CMA regulations
