Responsibilities:

Provide attentive and responsible care for children in a safe and nurturing environment Help create a daily routine that includes inspiring activities for all ages Build an understanding of each child's development and what steps to take to help them advance Serve and help children with meals and snacks, ensuring they meet any dietary restrictions Assist with basic hygiene tasks, such as hand washing, dressing, and nappy changing Model good and appropriate behaviour. Observe and intervene when necessary to promote positive behavior in children and help resolve conflicts as they arise Maintain a clean and organized environment, including tidying up toys, washing dishes used during childcare, and cleaning up after meals
Skills:
- Previous experience working with children of various ages
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with children, parents, and other caregivers
- Patience and the ability to remain calm in stressful situations
- Excellent problem-solving skills to handle unexpected situations or emergencies
- Paediatric First Aid qualification is preferred but not required
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively
- Reliable transportation to commute to work

The hours will be subject to agreement but will cover roughly.

Monday 8.30am to 3pm

Tuesday 8.30am to 5pm

Wednesday 8am to 4pm

Thursday 8.30am to 5pm

There is flexibility and job share could be considered. We would also consider an Level 2 or 3 apprenticeship.

Job Type: Permanent

Pay: From 12.70 per hour

Education:

GCSE or equivalent (preferred)
Work Location: In person
