Job Description

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Band 5 Mental Health Practitioner to join our dynamic Children and Young Peoples Mental Health Service (CYPMHS) team at Cheshire and Wirral Partnership NHS Foundation Trust . This role involves providing high-quality mental health care to children and young people aged 0-18, conducting assessments, developing care plans, and delivering therapeutic interventions.



The successful candidate will work closely with a multi-disciplinary team to support young people with a range of emotional, psychological, and behavioural difficulties. You will have the opportunity to work in a rewarding environment, contributing to the well-being and development of young people, while receiving support and supervision to further your professional growth.

Key Responsibilities:

Conduct mental health and risk assessments.



Deliver evidence-based interventions.



Work collaboratively within a multi-disciplinary team.



Contribute to care planning and review processes.

Essential Requirements:

Registered Mental Health Nurse, Occupational Therapist, or Social Worker with relevant professional body registration.



Passion for working with children and young people in a mental health setting.

You will have:

A high level of enthusiasm and dedication to providing quality, community based mental health services to children, young people, and their families



Experience in providing interventions & formulations to address the needs of the client group



Experience of working with children and young people who, due to their mental and emotional health needs, present with a level of clinical risk



Experience of working under pressure and in a demanding, fast paced environment



To have the skill to adapt and the flexibility to think on your feet due to the nature of your role



Access to transport or have the ability to travel to a variety of venues as part of the working day
