We are recruiting on behalf of our client, who is opening a brand-new specialist children's home in the Wolverhampton (WV10) area. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced and passionate
Registered Manager
to lead the service from its inception and make a lasting difference in the lives of the young people we support.
The home will provide high-quality care and support for up to 2 children with
learning disabilities and/or emotional and behavioural difficulties (EBD)
, creating a nurturing, safe, and empowering environment where every young person can thrive.
The Role
As the Registered Manager, you will take full responsibility for the
operational leadership, compliance, and development
of the home. You will play a vital role in ensuring that the service meets and exceeds the standards set by Ofsted and supports children to achieve
positive and meaningful outcomes
.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the home in line with Ofsted regulations and the Children's Homes (England) Regulations 2015.
Oversee all aspects of care delivery, ensuring the highest quality standards.
Recruit, manage, and develop a strong and motivated staff team.
Ensure compliance with all safeguarding, health and safety, and data protection requirements.
Work closely with local authorities, families, and professionals to deliver person-centred care plans.
Drive continuous improvement and contribute to the strategic growth of the service.
About You
We're looking for an inspiring and experienced leader who is passionate about making a real impact in children's lives.
Essential Requirements:
Minimum Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (or equivalent).
At least 2 years' experience in a supervisory or management role within a children's residential setting.
Strong understanding of Ofsted inspection frameworks and regulatory requirements.
Experience supporting children and young people with
learning disabilities and/or emotional and behavioural difficulties (EBD)
.
Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
Desirable:
Experience opening or registering a new children's home.
Proven track record of achieving 'Good' or 'Outstanding' Ofsted ratings.
