We are currently seeking
Support Workers
to join our warm and nurturing children's home, providing high-quality care and support for children aged 12-16 with emotional and behavioural needs.
About the Role
As a Support Worker, you will play a vital role in the day-to-day care of our young people. You will help create a safe, structured, and caring environment where children can feel secure, respected, and valued.
Key Responsibilities:
Building positive, trusting relationships with children and young people
Supporting children with their personal care, daily routines, and emotional wellbeing
Promoting positive behaviour and responding to challenging situations with empathy and professionalism
Encouraging participation in education, activities, and community life
Keeping accurate records and contributing to care plans and key worker reports
Working collaboratively with other professionals to support the child's overall development
About You
We're looking for individuals who are:
Compassionate, resilient, and reliable
Committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
Able to build strong professional relationships and act as a positive role model
Good communicators with strong written and verbal skills
Flexible and willing to work shifts, including evenings and weekends
Essential:
A commitment to ongoing training and development
Experience working in care
Experience working with children
The right to work in the UK
Willingness to undergo an enhanced DBS check and provide references
Desirable:
Previous experience in a residential childcare or support role
Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or willingness to work towards it)
