About the Role:
As the
Registered Manager
, you will be responsible for the overall leadership, management, and delivery of high-quality care in a nurturing and safe environment. You will ensure compliance with
Ofsted regulations
, develop your team, and maintain a child-centred culture of safeguarding and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the day-to-day management of the home, ensuring a safe, caring, and supportive environment for children and young people
Oversee all aspects of care planning, safeguarding, and behaviour management
Maintain full regulatory compliance with Ofsted, Children's Homes Regulations, and Quality Standards
Recruit, train, and manage staff to build a strong, motivated, and effective care team
Monitor and review care practices to ensure outstanding outcomes for children
Develop effective relationships with social workers, families, local authorities, and external professionals
Manage the home's budget and resources in line with organisational policies
Prepare the home for Ofsted inspections and take the lead in any recommendations or improvements
Requirements:
Minimum
2 years of experience
as a Registered Manager or Deputy Manager in a children's residential setting
NVQ/QCF Level 5 in Leadership & Management (Children & Young People's Services) or working towards it
Sound understanding of
Ofsted regulations

, and
safeguarding protocols
Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills
A passion for improving the lives of children and young people
Enhanced DBS and right to work in the UK
