Deputy Manager
to support the Registered Manager in leading our dedicated team.
The Role:
As
Deputy Manager
, you will play a crucial role in the day-to-day running of the home, supporting children with complex emotional and behavioural needs. You'll lead by example, inspire your team, and ensure high standards of care, safeguarding, and compliance are consistently met.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist the Registered Manager with operational management of the home
Supervise, support, and develop residential care staff
Contribute to care planning and placement reviews
Ensure compliance with Ofsted and relevant care regulations
Help maintain a safe, therapeutic, and nurturing environment
Be part of the on-call rota
About You:
We're looking for someone who is child-focused, emotionally resilient, and ready to step into a leadership role.
Essential:
Minimum of 2 years' experience in a children's residential setting
Level 3 Diploma for Residential Childcare (or equivalent)
Working towards or willing to work towards Level 5 in Leadership and Management
Strong knowledge of safeguarding, care regulations, and Ofsted standards
Excellent communication and leadership skills
Ability to work flexibly, including evenings, weekends, and on-call
Desirable:
Previous experience as a Senior or Team Leader in a residential setting
Full UK driving licence
