We are seeking a dedicated and dynamic Children's Home Registered Manager (EBD) to lead and oversee the daily operations of a specialized residential facility for children with Emotional and Behavioral Difficulties (EBD). In this vital role, you will ensure the safety, well-being, and development of young residents by providing strong leadership, fostering a nurturing environment, and maintaining compliance with regulatory standards. Duties
Lead and manage all aspects of the children's home, ensuring high standards of care, safety, and compliance with regulatory requirements.
Develop and implement individualized care plans tailored to each child's unique emotional, behavioral, and developmental needs.
Supervise and support staff members, providing training, mentorship, and performance evaluations to foster a motivated team.
Oversee daily routines including meal preparation, personal care assistance, medication administration, and activity planning.
Maintain accurate documentation using electronic medical record (EMR) systems, including incident reports, care plans, and progress notes.
Conduct regular risk assessments and ensure health & safety protocols are strictly followed to create a secure environment.
Build strong relationships with families, social workers, healthcare professionals, and community agencies to support holistic care.
Manage budgets, resources, and procurement processes efficiently to sustain high-quality services.
Requirements
Minimum of
2 years' experience
in a children's residential setting.
At least
1 year of management or deputy management experience
in a similar service.
Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare
(or working towards).
In-depth understanding of EBD, trauma, attachment, and safeguarding frameworks.
Excellent knowledge of
Ofsted inspection processes

Experience with medication administration, vital signs monitoring, personal care assistance (ADLs), and emergency response procedures including first aid certification.
Familiarity with EMR systems for documentation and record-keeping purposes.
Valid driver's license with clean driving record for transportation duties when necessary.
Excellent communication skills to liaise confidently with families, healthcare providers, social workers, and regulatory bodies.
Knowledge of health & safety regulations relevant to children's residential care settings.
Ability to handle challenging behaviours compassionately while ensuring safety for all residents and staff.
