The client is a leading Children's Home provider in the UK that is committed to enriching the life of young people in its care.
THE ROLE
They are looking for a Registered Manager who will demonstrate passion and commitment to excellent care and quality, both in terms of service delivery and in terms of outcomes for young people.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
As Registered Manager, you will be responsible for the leadership, development and operational oversight of our home. Your key responsibilities will include the following:
To successfully register with Ofsted and lead the home through inspections and reviews
To ensure compliance with Company policies and procedures and all regulations and standards at all times
Compliance with Safeguarding and child protection procedures at all times and promote an honest and open culture
Development of the staff team's knowledge and understanding of safeguarding and child protection practices and processes
Demonstration of strong and effective leadership and people management at all times
Inspire, motivate and build a highly skilled and engaged workforce with a strong commitment to nurturing staff potential and developing skills
To ensure that resources, including staff, are effectively deployed to optimise service delivery
Demonstrate excellent communication with all internal and external stakeholders
To be accountable for effectively managing financial performance and for meeting and, where possible, exceeding agreed targets
To lead a culture of safety, accountability and continuous improvement & development with a strong focus on best practice
To proactively seek opportunities for innovation in order to maintain sustainable and resilient business
To work closely with social workers, education providers, health professionals, and local authorities
To acknowledge, celebrate and share success
REQUIREMENTS
A thorough understanding and knowledge of relevant legislation and Ofsted regulation
Experience in working within Children's Homes for at least 2 years in the last 5 years and 1 year of supervisory experience.
To currently or previously hold or have held a registration with Ofsted as a Registered Manager (Preferred)
Exceptional leadership and management skills.
A Level 5 Qualification - Health and Social Care/Leadership and Management. (Preferred)
