Job Purpose

As a Residential Support Worker, you will play a key role in supporting children and young people in care. You will assist in their daily routines, emotional development, and overall well-being, ensuring a warm, safe, and structured environment.

Key Responsibilities

Support children and young people in their day-to-day lives, including school attendance, activities, and appointments Promote independence, self-esteem, and positive behaviour through consistent routines and boundaries Build trusting, respectful relationships with children and act as a positive role model Work as part of a team to implement care plans, risk assessments, and safeguarding procedures Maintain accurate records and contribute to reports and reviews Assist with domestic duties including cooking, cleaning, and maintaining a safe home environment Participate in training and development opportunities

Desirable Requirements

Experience working with children or young people in any setting Experience working in a children's residential home NVQ Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent or willingness to work towards it) Understanding of safeguarding, child protection, and trauma-informed care

Pay: 13.00-14.00 per hour
