Children's Residential Deputy Manager

Enfield, ENG, GB, United Kingdom

Job Description

Deputy Manager

"In our safe havens, young people embrace their tomorrow with confidence"

About us?

At 360 Children's Residential Services, we are entering an exciting phase of growth as we expand our capacity to support more children and young people aged 7 to 17. As part of our ongoing commitment to providing high-quality, person-centred care, we are now recruiting passionate, dedicated individuals who want to make a meaningful difference in the lives of those we support. This expansion presents a fantastic opportunity to join a dynamic and growing team, where your contribution will directly impact the futures of vulnerable young people

Many of our children will have experienced early trauma leading to emotional and behavioural difficulties that may challenge others or present a risk to themselves. We believe that building positive relationships through Commitment, Respect and Support, and providing a nurturing home environment will equip them with the foundations they need to flourish and reach their full potential.

Our aim is to ensure that every child in our care feels loved, valued, and safe--while also supporting their happiness, wellbeing, and personal growth. At 360 Children's Residential Services, we provide nurturing home environments where children are free to be themselves. We help them build confidence, develop a strong sense of self-worth, and gain the foundation they need to thrive--both now and into adulthood.

We take a trauma informed approach to support our children and young people using the PACE model of therapeutic parenting. This allows us to connect with our children and encourage growth through stability and positive relationships. The care we provide is designed specifically for each individual based on their needs and what matters to them most.

Who are we looking for?

We are looking for passionate, motivated individuals with a desire to make a difference in the lives of others through empathy and understanding, but who can also think creatively and inspire fun and excitement to make life-long memories with and for our children.

You will provide a positive role model for our children in their day to day lives, championing their needs and fighting for their best interests.

You will be curious, patient, and empathetic in your approach and play a key part in upholding our culture and ethos within the home.

You will have the resilience to work in a challenging environment, and remain solution focussed to achieve the best outcomes for our children and young people.

What is the role?

Working in one of our homes, you will care for our children and young people within their day to day lives. This will include:

- Encouraging engagement with education and highlighting the future benefits of this.

- Teaching and role modelling emotional intelligence and social skills.

- Providing opportunities to build relationships with peers.

- Supporting access to extracurricular activities, hobbies and encouraging new experiences.

- Encouraging physical and mental wellbeing to support a healthy lifestyle

- Building positive relationships with young people who may initially be resistant to this and having the resilience to remain committed.

- Providing a safe space for children experiencing distress and displaying trauma responses.

- Creating lifelong memory's for and with our children that they take with them into adulthood.
