Salary:
37,139 to 39,702 per annum (dependant on experience and qualifications in line with the current pay scales) + access to a discretionary monthly manager bonus

Halliwell operates the Restorative Parenting Programme which focuses on therapeutically addressing the emotional, behavioural, social and developmental needs of children in our care. Our Restorative Parenting approach sets us apart from standard residential child care providers in that it is clinically informed in every aspect of the child's lived therapeutic experience with the aim of helping traumatised children achieve recovery and psychological wellbeing. The RP Programme seeks to deliver recovery to the child within a time limited period (up to 3 years) achieving measurable improvement that enables children to achieve their local authority care plan (most usually to move to sustainable long term fostering or kinship placements).
The main responsibilities for the role will include:
A Deputy Lead Therapeutic Parent (Deputy Manager) will work closely and supportively with the Registered Manager (Therapeutic Care) to ensure high standards of care are consistently maintained.
The Deputy Lead Therapeutic Parent will play a key role in ensuring that the homes operate at all times in accordance with all appropriate regulatory frameworks and will deputise in the absence of the Registered Manager. They will communicate and represent Halliwell in liaison with all appropriate external agencies.
The Deputy Lead Therapeutic Parent will supervise senior staff and others, including chairing peer supervision meetings to ensure support in role and exchange of good practice across the team. Liaising with relevant outside agencies, representing Halliwell at meetings and maintaining a high level of professionalism at all times. Ensuring that the homes maintain consistent standards in line with The Restorative Parenting Model. They will help to promote and embed a culture of safeguarding the welfare of children across all areas of practice and education.
The successful candidate will have the following Qualifications:
Must hold the Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent)
Must have a willingness to achieve/complete the Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management in Residential Childcare
The successful candidate will have the following Experience:
At least two years experience working as a Senior/Deputy role in Residential Childcare leading shifts and managing rotas
Experience in working towards objectives and retaining documents and paperwork to remain statutory compliance
People Management experience leading successful teams through effective staff supervision
Maintaining strict financial controls for auditing purposes
Experience working with multi-agency working organisations/individuals (e.g., IRO's, Local Authorities and Social Workers)
Experience of Regulation 44 inspections, Local Community Safeguarding Board, Ofsted and Local Authorities Designated Officers
