Urgently require a children's home manager for DISABLED and CHALLENGED children in a residential setting in Bristol.
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Residential Manager to oversee the daily operations of our residential facility. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with children and a strong commitment to providing a safe and nurturing environment. As the Residential Manager, you will be responsible for implementing care plans, ensuring effective communication among staff and families, and maintaining high standards of care.
Duties
Manage the daily operations of the residential facility, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and standards.
Develop, implement, and review individual care plans for each child in residence, tailoring support to their specific needs.
Supervise and support staff in their roles, providing guidance and training as necessary to enhance their skills in childcare.
Foster open communication with families, staff, and external agencies to ensure a collaborative approach to each child's care.
Maintain accurate records of children's progress, incidents, and any changes in care plans.
Drive initiatives that promote the well-being and development of children within the residence.
Ensure that the facility is well-maintained and equipped with necessary resources for both staff and children.
Utilise IT systems effectively to manage documentation and communication efficiently.
Requirements
Previous experience working with children in a residential or childcare setting is essential.
Strong ability to communicate effectively with children, families, and staff members.
A valid driving licence is preferred for transporting children as needed.
Knowledge of developing and implementing care plans tailored to individual needs.
Proficiency in IT systems related to documentation and reporting is advantageous.
A compassionate nature with strong leadership skills to inspire and motivate staff.
Ability to handle challenging situations calmly and professionally while maintaining a focus on child welfare.
