Brokerfy Recruitment is proud to partner with a well-respected national care group to recruit a Registered Manager for a high-performing 4-bed children's residential home in Wolverhampton.
You'll lead from the front, supported by an experienced Deputy Manager, to deliver therapeutic, trauma-informed care that enables vulnerable young people to heal, grow, and thrive.
Responsibilities
Oversee the full day-to-day running of the home, ensuring safety, care quality, and compliance
Supervise and lead your team, with a focus on coaching, training, and performance management
Foster a nurturing, emotionally supportive, and structured home environment
Champion safeguarding, risk management, and regulatory compliance (Children's Homes Regulations, Children Act 1989)
Manage budgets, staffing levels, and service development planning
Collaborate with social workers, local authorities, and external professionals to deliver personalised outcomes
Contribute to strategic service improvement and prepare for future inspections
Participate in the on-call rota to support home operations and team continuity
What We're Looking For
Experience:
3+ years in a senior role within children's residential care
Level 4 Children & Young People's Workforce (or equivalent)
Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health & Social Care (or working towards)
Skills & Attributes:
Compassionate, proactive, and confident leadership
Strong people management and staff development skills
Excellent safeguarding and care planning knowledge
Financial insight and operational management capability
Able to work flexibly, including on-call responsibilities
Driving:
Full UK driving licence required
