We are currently seeking a motivated and compassionate Osted registered Children's Residential Home Manager to be responsible for the overall management of the home, ensuring compliance with Ofsted regulations and standards. The registered manager will lead, support, and develop a team to provide outstanding care and positive outcomes for children and young people. This is a vital role in which we require someone who is knowledgeable about key legislation and regulatory requirements, just as much as they are passionate about developing a home which delivers outstanding care. With person centred care at the centre of everything we do, we provide compassionate care that promotes choice, dignity, and personal growth. Our aim is to provide and maintain a nurturing and structured environment where children and young people feel safe and are supported by compassionate staff who take pride in delivering high quality care to help young people thrive and prepare them for the future.

Key Responsibilities:



Lead, mentor, and manage a team of support staff to deliver high-quality, person-centred care. Ensure full compliance with Ofsted regulations, the Children Act 1989, the Care Standards Act 2000, and all other relevant legal frameworks. Monitor and improve service performance, identifying areas for growth and implementing improvements. Managing a staff team including rotas, time sheets, supervisions, appraisals, and team meetings. To investigate and act upon any complaints and concerns of children/young people, their families or other professionals, in line with national and organisational procedures. Build strong relationships with children/young people, families, and external partners, promoting community integration and engagement. To establish effective relationships with a range of key stakeholders in order to promote the reputation of the organisation and instil confidence in its capacity to deliver positive outcomes. Conduct regular training, supervision, and performance reviews for all team members. Implement and uphold safeguarding policies and procedures, promoting a safe and respectful environment for everyone. Provide strong leadership, promoting a culture of excellence and continuous improvement. Take a lead role in ensuring meetings and reviews of children, young people and staff are delivered within required timescales. Coach and support the support workers to ensure high standards of care are maintained. Maintain open lines of communication with staff to create a collaborative, supportive work environment that aligns with the company's values. Advocate for young people's access to community resources and ensure their voice is heard in shaping their care. To positively contribute to the development of the home through being an active participant of the management team, including participation in the on-call and out-of-hours management of the organisation. To participate in the induction and development of all staff. To ensure that health and safety requirements are maintained throughout the home, taking action when required. To ensure all complaints are dealt with according to organisational policy. To manage admissions of young people to the home, ensuring that assessment and support processes are maintained to a high standard throughout their placements and the necessary reports and representation at LAC Reviews demonstrate the high quality of service delivered. To be an active participant of the management team ensuring that the home achieves its aims and a positive culture is created. To ensure that the home always remains compliant with all legislative and regulatory requirements. Ensure the involvement of children and young people in the planning, delivery and evaluation of the services that affect them. To positively contribute to the development of an environment in which all individuals are encouraged to recognise their potential. To actively contribute to the development and sustaining of positive multi-disciplinary working internally and externally, acting as an effective advocate for the home's approach to meeting individual needs. Maintain accurate records and prepare for inspections. Develop and implement care plans tailored to individual needs. To embed the principles and values of the organisation which state that all individuals have intrinsic value and worth and relationships are built on trust, warmth and unconditional positive regard.

Monday - Friday Day shifts

Licence and experience:



Driving Licence (required) Level 5 Diploma for Health and Social Care or Equivalent (required) Level 5 Diploma in leadership and management

Requirements:



Management experience: 3 years (required) Proven leadership, organisational, and communication skills Ofsted Registered Strong knowledge of Ofsted regulations, Children's Homes Regulations and the Quality Standards
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: 49,000.00-60,000.00 per year
