Our Children's home in Kingsbury and we are looking to recruit a full-time support worker and bank workers to join the residential care staff team, providing care and support to vulnerable young children. This is an opportunity to make a real difference in children's lives.
Young People can sometimes display challenging behaviours and we would prefer applications from experienced and confident childcare residential workers, qualified or working towards qualification at diploma level 4 residential childcare. However, prompt access onto the training, leading to a professional residential childcare qualification, will be provided for an enthusiastic applicant who is able to demonstrate their potential and who has resilience, motivation, and the values of a good role model. Archways Care has good supporting training, pre and post qualification.
The full time rota is 08:00-23:00 one day on, 2 days off on repeat, it includes sleep in shifts, approximately 6 a month sometimes more but rota is shared in advance.
The position will require you to be able to both be able to work within a team and have the confidence in your own ability and skills to build effective working relationships with our children and other key professionals in their lives. It involves:
shift work
working some weekends
some bank holidays
sleep in duties
transportation of young people - therefore, you will need to a full valid driving license
be over 21 years of age to apply for the role
Starting salary is (inclusive of sleep ins) unqualified 27,271, and qualified 28,246 for full time workers.
Bank workers (part time) overall salary would depend on hours completed within the month. Per hour 12.21.
Qualified includes a NVQ Level 4 in Residential childcare or equivalent.
