Your Day-to-Day
Every day brings something new. You'll help create routines for filled with enjoyment, learning, and emotional support for the children in your care at our brand new therapeutic children's residential home in Harlow, Essex.
Within our children's home we will provide care and support for 3 children of any gender with a diagnosed ?learning disability and/or emotional behavioural difficulties between ?the ages of 7 and 17 years.?

Duties
Help children through their daily routines whether that's morning get-ready time, choosing activities, or celebrating small wins along the way.
Get involved in learning and play, supporting children as they dive into activities that match their interests and individual care plans.
Drive children to where they need to be, making every trip safe, calm, and a positive part of their day.
Keep communication open and upbeat with families, colleagues, and other professionals so everyone stays connected and informed.
Notice and record the little things, progress, behaviours, achievements, and any concerns to help shape each child's journey.
Help create a space that feels safe, welcoming, and full of opportunities to explore and grow.
Boost children's emotional wellbeing by listening closely, cheering them on, and being a steady, supportive presence.
Play a part in organising fun outings and activities that spark curiosity, build confidence, and encourage friendships.
What you will receive:
Base salary of between 25,350 per annum - 27,350 per annum plus an additional 65 per every sleep shift.

Qualifications
Experience working with children or in childcare settings is highly desirable, although full training any qualifications will be provided
Valid driving licence with clean driving record is preferred
Knowledge of child development and care planning processes
Excellent communication skills to liaise effectively with children, families, and team members
Basic IT skills for documentation and reporting purposes
Compassionate attitude with a genuine interest in supporting children's growth and wellbeing
Ability to work flexibly, demonstrating patience, reliability, and organisational skills
