13.50 - 15.00 per hour (28,000 - 31,000 per annum)
Sleep-in Allowance:

Turnleft care ltd is looking for passionate and dedicated Residential Support Workers to join our small, supportive team working with children and young people aged 8-17 with emotional and behavioural needs.

Alanya House is a small, nurturing 3-bed children's residential home in Harlow, Essex. We provide a safe, stable, and trauma-informed environment for children and young people who have experienced adversity and need consistency, compassion, and strong positive relationships to thrive.

The Role
As a Residential Support Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting the emotional, social, and practical needs of the children in our care.
Your responsibilities will include:
Safeguarding and promoting the wellbeing of children and young people
Building positive, trusting relationships and acting as a consistent role model
Supporting daily routines, household tasks, and healthy meal preparation
Encouraging engagement in education, hobbies, and community activities
Supporting children to develop independence and life skills
Transporting children to school, appointments, and activities (driver essential)
Supporting with bedtime routines, evenings, and overnight care (including sleep-ins)
Maintaining accurate records, logs, and reports in line with Ofsted requirements
Working collaboratively with colleagues, managers, and external professionals
Taking part in team meetings, training, and regular supervision

A genuine passion for supporting children and young people
Willingness to work towards (or already hold) a Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (fully supported)
A commitment to safeguarding and positive, trauma-informed practice
Essential Requirements
Full UK driving licence (essential)
Right to work in the UK (we cannot offer sponsorship)
Willingness to complete safer recruitment checks, including DBS, references, and Ofsted-compliant checks
Flexibility to work on a rota basis, including weekends and sleep-ins
