The Support Worker plays a vital role in providing assistance and care to individuals, particularly children, ensuring their well-being and development. This position involves working closely with clients to implement care plans, support daily activities, and foster a positive environment. The ideal candidate will be compassionate, patient, and dedicated to making a difference in the lives of those they support. You will always work on a 2:1 basis with another staff member, to ensure support when on shift.
Duties
encourage children with daily living activities such as cooking/ cleaning .
Implement and monitor individual care plans tailored to each child's needs. Care plans will differ per resident .
Provide emotional support and encouragement to promote confidence and independence.
complete engaging activities that enhance social skills and personal development.
Maintain clear communication with families, caregivers, and other professionals involved in the child's care.
Document progress and any changes in behaviour or health as required.
Drive clients to appointments or activities as necessary, ensuring their safety during transport.
12& 24 hour shifts including sleep ins available .
Salary based on 4/7 days .
Skills
Experience working with children in a support or childcare capacity is prefered .
No formal qualifications necessary (preferred )

A positive and can do attitude to allow the child to mirror .
An outgoing person who wants job satisfaction.
A valid driving licence is preferred for transporting our young persons when needed.
Strong understanding of childcare principles and practices.
Ability to develop and follow care plans effectively.
Excellent communication skills to interact positively with children, families, and colleagues.
This role requires a proactive individual who is committed to providing high-quality support while fostering a nurturing environment for children.
Fluency in English language
