Join our established, fully compliant 4-bed children's home in Northolt, specialising in high-quality therapeutic care for young people aged 10-17 years with complex Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD) and trauma histories.

Your Role: Driving Positive Change
As a Residential Support Worker, you will be crucial to the young people's therapeutic journey and daily well-being. Your core responsibilities will include:
Therapeutic Support:
Implementing and recording personalized care plans, ensuring all interactions are
trauma-informed
and based on the principles outlined in the Children's Homes Regulations 2015.
Safeguarding:
Taking primary responsibility for the immediate safety and welfare of the young people, adhering strictly to all internal safeguarding policies and external LADO procedures.
Key Working:
Acting as the primary Key Worker for designated residents, building trusting, consistent relationships and liaising closely with social workers, educators, and families.
Daily Life & Routine:
Supporting young people with education, meal preparation, hygiene routines, appointments, and engaging in constructive activities (e.g., sports, hobbies, life skills development).
Record Keeping:
Maintaining meticulous, detailed, and professional records of daily events, incidents, and progress, contributing to statutory reviews.
What We're Looking For (Essential Criteria)
We are seeking individuals who possess the unique blend of professional expertise and personal resilience this work demands:
Experience:
Proven experience (minimum 1 year preferred) working with children or young people with complex needs, challenging behaviour, or EBD within a residential or similar setting.
Qualifications:
Ideally hold or be willing to work towards the
Level 3 Diploma for the Children and Young People's Workforce (or equivalent)

Resilience and Patience:
The demonstrable ability to remain calm, reflective, and professional during high-pressure situations and crisis management.
Commitment:
Reliability and commitment to a shift-based rota, including sleep-in duties (paid at a separate rate), evenings, and weekends.
Driving:
A full, clean UK driving license is highly desirable due to transport requirements for activities and appointments.
