We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Support Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a genuine passion for helping others, particularly children, and will play a vital role in providing support and assistance in daily activities. This position requires effective communication skills and the ability to follow care plans to ensure the well-being of those we support.
Duties
Provide direct support to children, assisting them with daily living activities and personal care.
Develop and implement care plans tailored to individual needs, ensuring they are followed accurately.
Foster a safe and nurturing environment for children, promoting their emotional and physical well-being.
Maintain clear communication with children, families, and other professionals involved in the care process.
Assist with transportation needs, including driving children to appointments or activities as required.
Utilise IT skills to document progress, maintain records, and communicate effectively within the team.
Participate in training sessions and professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge.
Experience
Previous experience working with children is essential; experience in childcare settings is highly desirable.
Strong communication skills are necessary for effective interaction with children and families.
Familiarity with creating and following care plans is advantageous.
