We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Residential Support Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in providing assistance and support to individuals, particularly children, in their daily activities. This position requires effective communication skills, the ability to drive, and a good understanding of IT systems to manage care plans efficiently. The Support Worker will ensure that the needs of the individuals are met while promoting their independence and well-being.
Responsibilities
Assist individuals with daily living activities, including personal care, meal preparation, and household tasks.
Develop and implement care plans tailored to the individual's needs and preferences.
Communicate effectively with individuals, families, and other professionals to ensure continuity of care.
Maintain accurate records of care provided and report any changes in the individual's condition.
Provide emotional support and companionship to enhance the individual's quality of life.
Drive individuals to appointments or social activities as required.
Utilise IT systems for documenting care plans and tracking progress effectively.
Engage in childcare activities when required, ensuring a safe and nurturing environment for children.
Requirements
2 years Previous experience working with children or in a similar support role is highly required.
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with individuals and their families.
Familiarity with IT systems for managing care plans is advantageous.
A compassionate attitude with a commitment to promoting the independence of those you support.
Flexibility to adapt to changing situations and individual needs
Level 3 in Health or Social Care or a willingness to work towards.
