Job Description

Creating Lifestyles are recruiting Support Workers to join our established children's residential home. The service is already open, rated Good with Ofsted, and registered for 5 children with Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD). The home operates with a 3:1 staffing ratio, ensuring strong support for both children and staff.

The Role:

As a Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing safe, consistent, and nurturing care to children and young people with complex emotional and behavioural needs. You will support daily routines, promote positive behaviour, and help children achieve positive outcomes in a stable home environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide high-quality, child-centred care in line with care plans and risk assessments Promote safeguarding and the welfare of children at all times Support children with daily routines, education, activities, and life skills Manage and de-escalate challenging behaviours in a calm and therapeutic manner Maintain accurate records, daily logs, and incident reports Work as part of a team to provide 24/7 care, including evenings, weekends, sleep-ins, and on-call support when required
Requirements:

Experience working with children or young people (EBD experience desirable but not essential) A caring, resilient, and reliable approach Ability to work flexible shift patterns including on-call Willingness to undertake training and qualifications Enhanced DBS and full safer recruitment checks required

Pay: 22,893.75-34,966.30 per year
