About the Role
As a Children's Residential Support Worker, you'll play a vital part in helping young people feel safe, valued, and empowered to reach their full potential. Every day is different -- one moment you're offering a listening ear, the next you're helping a young person learn new life skills or cheering them on as they take a big step forward.
You'll be part of a warm, supportive team that works together to create a nurturing, structured, and positive environment where children can heal, grow, and thrive.
Key Responsibilities
Provide high-quality, person-centred care for children and young people.
Build positive, trusting relationships and offer emotional support.
Work collaboratively with professionals to develop and deliver care plans.
Encourage learning, creativity, and personal growth through activities and life skills.
Manage challenging behaviour with patience, empathy, and consistency.
Maintain accurate records and promote a safe, caring home environment.
What We're Looking For
Experience in residential childcare or a similar support role.
A genuine passion for helping children and young people achieve their best.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
A calm, resilient, and compassionate approach to challenges.
Flexibility to work shifts, including evenings and weekends.
Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or working towards) is desirable but not essential.
