Overview



We are seeking a

compassionate and dedicated Support Worker

to join our team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in providing personalised care and support to children and young people, ensuring their wellbeing, safety, and development within a nurturing and structured environment. Key Responsibilities



Provide high-quality care and emotional support to children and young people in line with individual care plans. Assist with daily routines and activities, including personal care, education, recreation, and household tasks. Promote independence, confidence, and positive behaviour through encouragement and consistent boundaries. Support children to participate in social and recreational activities, both within the home and in the community. Maintain clear communication with colleagues, families, and professionals to ensure consistency of care. Drive young people to school, appointments, or activities, following all health and safety and safeguarding procedures. Record accurate and detailed daily observations, incident reports, and progress notes in line with organisational procedures. Contribute to creating a positive, inclusive environment that upholds the values of respect, equality, and diversity.

Qualifications and Experience



Experience working or some knowledge with supporting children and young people, ideally within a residential, childcare, or education setting. Knowledge of child development, safeguarding, and trauma-informed practice. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal. Ability to follow and contribute to care plans and risk assessments effectively. Competent IT skills for record-keeping and reporting. A compassionate, patient, and resilient attitude when working with children with diverse needs. A

full UK driving licence

is desirable but not essential. Hold, be working towards, or willing to complete the

Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare

.
