Key Responsibilities
Providing
one-to-one care and support
for a young person with SEMH needs.
Building strong, positive relationships and acting as a role model.
Promoting independence, routines, and personal development.
Supporting with education, daily activities, and emotional wellbeing.
Managing challenging behaviours in a calm and professional way.
Maintaining accurate records and safeguarding the welfare of the young person at all times.
Requirements
Previous experience working with children or young people, ideally within a residential or SEMH setting.
A caring, patient, and resilient nature.
Flexibility to work both day and night shifts.
Strong communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
NVQ Level 3 in Children & Young People (desirable but not essential).
Enhanced DBS (can be arranged if not already held).
