Cornerstone Children's Homes is looking for compassionate and skilled
Residential Support Workers
to provide dedicated one-to-one care for a young person in a solo residential setting in Reading. This is a unique opportunity to make a direct and lasting difference during a crucial stage of a young person's life.

Key Responsibilities:
Deliver tailored, trauma-informed care that supports the young person's emotional and behavioural needs
Help the young person manage emotional regulation and mental health challenges
Apply trained de-escalation techniques and safe physical intervention strategies when required (full training provided)
Support daily routines and ensure a secure, nurturing, and structured home environment
Assist with day-to-day tasks, including personal care and building essential life skills
Participate in key working sessions and contribute meaningfully to care planning
Work collaboratively with a professional, supportive team focused on positive outcomes
What We're Looking For:
Experience in residential childcare, therapeutic care, or mental health support
Confidence in supporting complex behaviours and using appropriate intervention strategies
Strong emotional resilience and the ability to remain calm and supportive under pressure
A reliable, proactive team player with excellent communication skills
A deep commitment to making a difference for children and young people who have experienced trauma or adversity
