Your Day-to-Day
Every day brings something new. You'll help create routines filled with enjoyment, learning, and emotional support for the children in your care at our brand new therapeutic children's residential home in Harlow, Essex.
Within our children's home we will provide care and support for 3 children of any gender with a diagnosed ?learning disability and/or emotional behavioural difficulties between ?the ages of 7 and 17 years.?

Duties
As a Waking Night Residential Support Worker at Young Care Hub you'll play a vital role in supporting vulnerable children through the night - creating a peaceful, nurturing environment where they feel safe, seen, and supported.
You'll provide calm, consistent care through the night, checking in on children, offering reassurance if they wake, and supporting any overnight needs. You'll also complete light household tasks, write accurate logs, and help with the morning routine before handover to the day team.
You'll usually be the sole waking staff member on shift, with sleep-in colleagues on site and a supportive, trauma-informed culture around you.
What you will receive:
Base salary of between 25,350 per annum - 27,350 per annum.

Qualifications
Experience working with children or in childcare settings is highly desirable, although full training any qualifications will be provided
Valid driving licence with clean driving record is preferred
Knowledge of child development and care planning processes
Excellent communication skills to liaise effectively with children, families, and team members
Basic IT skills for documentation and reporting purposes
Compassionate attitude with a genuine interest in supporting children's growth and wellbeing
Ability to work flexibly, demonstrating patience, reliability, and organisational skills
